| Overview |
This is a coastal ritual archaeological site located at the tip of a cliff on the western coast of the Republic of Korea. Rituals started in the latter half of the third century, reaching the peak between the mid-fourth century and the former half of the fifth century. A large number of artifacts have been discovered. It is situated on a marine route connecting the Korean peninsula to the Japanese archipelago. It is considered to be a ritual archaeological site associate with the overseas exchange in ancient East Asia. |
